Because really, what says Christmas more than sun, sand and surf? Seriously, it is pretty much my favorite rock 'n roll Christmas song. When I got a CD of it several years back, I played it a dozen times in a row ... until I realized that I was driving the guy drywalling my kitchen mad. I like most of the Beach Boys stuff, and this one is just cute. Who else would have thought to work the Sixties car-song ethos into a song about Santa? But it works.
