Another item on the long, strange list of things I find amusing: The Beatles, on the "Let It Be" sessions, doing "Besame Mucho." They sound pretty silly and jovial, considering they were about to break up the band.
It's cute, but I actually prefer their 1962 version (found on the "Anthology I" CD with Pete Best on drums), where they tear through it at fairly breakneck speed. They did a lot of old pop/jazz numbers - "Ain't She Sweet," "Hallelujah, I Love Her So," "The Sheik Of Araby" - in their early recordings and live broadcasts at the BBC.
